Terms of Service

The service

Things I Forward Once ("tifo") provides ephemeral sharing tools — secrets, pastes, code snippets, file drops, short links, polls, images, and notes. The service is provided as-is, free of charge, with no uptime guarantee.

No accounts

We do not require registration. There are no passwords or accounts on our end. Whoever has the link controls the content.

Your content

You own any content you share. By uploading or submitting content you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and serve it for the duration you choose — nothing more. We do not claim any rights to your content.

Prohibited content

You must not use tifo to share:

• Content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance, will be reported to authorities
• Malware, ransomware, or exploit code intended to harm others
• Spam or unsolicited bulk messaging
• Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Content that violates a third party's privacy or constitutes harassment

Secrets

One-time secrets are encrypted client-side before reaching our servers. We cannot read them. We therefore cannot be responsible for their content, but the prohibition on illegal content above still applies.

Takedown

We reserve the right to remove any content and block any access at any time, for any reason, without notice. Given the ephemeral nature of the service, deleted content cannot be recovered.

Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for lost content, service interruptions, or any damages arising from use of the service. Content is ephemeral by design — do not rely on it as your only copy.

Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use this service.

Changes

We may update these terms at any time. The current version is always at /terms. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
